The Cottage

Ocean Cottage is the quintessential English seaside cottage – just yards from a peaceful beach and a fantastic beach café and within an easy walk of restaurants, cafes, microbars and convenience stores.

This 100 year old cottage was one of Ferring's original properties and still has the charm and quirks that go with its age, along with added modern conveniences and it's own little bar.

Ocean Cottage sleeps up to 6 guests (plus a baby) in 3 bedrooms (2 kings and a twin) and has a large bathroom and an en-suite shower room as well as a large West facing rear garden - perfect for BBQs and sun worshipping.

There is parking on the private driveway for 3 cars and an untethered type 2 EV charger (pay via QR code) for guests' use.


The Bar

The Bedrooms



The pink room is the largest bedroom and the only one on the first floor.


It is dual aspect and has a king sized bed and a seating area with 2 cocktail chairs and a table.


The grey room is cosy - it is on the ground floor just off the living room and has a king sized bed, a walk-in shower and an en-suite WC / wash room 


The blue room is the twin room on the ground floor.


The Living Space

The Lounge is in the centre of the house and features 2 comfy vegan leather sofas with cushions, throws and footstools.


There is a 55" Samsung smart TV, DVD / CD player and a selection of card games, board games and books.

The dining room, off the lounge and looking over the back garden, is a lovely bright room.


As well as the dining table seating 6, there is a chill out area with a slouchy beanbag next to a big radiator - a lovely spot for an afternoon nap or to read.

The kitchen is cottage style but fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, American fridge-freezer, multifunction electric double oven, electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and Tassimo coffee machine.


There is also an iron and board and a clothes airer.


You will find a stock of individually wrapped tea bags, coffee sachets and sugar sachets with some milk pods in the fridge to get you started as well as salt and pepper.


The Garden

Ocean Cottage is lucky enough to have a large West facing garden, it's a sun worshipper's paradise!


There is a patio directly outside the house and then a further large raised terrace at the end of the garden, and even a cheeky little spot with a South facing bench half half way down, so you can follow the sun or shade all day.


There are a variety of seating / lounging / dining options outdoors, a big tub of garden games and a charcoal BBQ with utensils.



GENERAL

- Wi-fi (there is a framed QR code to scan in the porch as you enter the cottage)


BEDROOMS

- 3 Bedrooms, sleeps 6 (plus a baby) -2 king size beds and 2 singles (plus travel cot - bring your own cot bedding)

- Blackout curtains/blinds and mirrors in bedrooms, hairdryers in king rooms


SHOWER and BATH ROOM

- Ground floor shower room (en-suite to king) with electric power shower

- First floor bathroom with shower bath tub

- All linen and towels for the cottage included (bring your own beach towels)


LIVING AREA

- Samsung 55" smart TV, DVD / CD player

- Comfortable vegan leather sofas with cushions, throws and pouffes, large coffee table and side tables

- Selection of card games & board games for adults and children


DINING

- Dining table seating 6 overlooking the rear garden - or alfresco dining


KITCHEN

- Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washer dryer, multifunction double fan oven,  electric hob, extractor, Amertican fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, Tassimo coffee machine, iron & board, clothes airer, DAB radio / bluetooth speaker

- Saucepans, frying pan, wok, oven trays, utensils, salt, pepper, cooking oil

- Washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing capsules and fabric conditioner provided

- Tea, coffee & sugar provided

- Welcome tray with hot chocolate sachets, biscuits and locally ground Kendricks coffee


BAR

- Rustic speakeasy style bar in the garage area (for guests of the cottage only)
